A Journey of Creativity, Resilience, and Self-Discovery
I’m Anni, a graphic and web designer with over 20 years of experience. I grew up in New Orleans in a wonderfully creative family—my mum was an artist, and my dad was somewhat of a musician, so our home was always filled with art, music, and a deep appreciation for creativity. In 2002, I moved to England, bringing that love for creativity with me. I’ve had the privilege of working on countless design projects over the years, but I’ve always had a dream of using my skills to build something of my own, something that would reflect my passions and values.
That dream finally took shape in Luna Selene, where, alongside my co-founder Kasia, I could pour my heart into a brand that’s more than just skincare. We wanted to create a space that encourages people to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves, to see beauty as something that goes far beyond the surface.
But getting here hasn’t been easy. In 2017, I found myself at the end of a toxic 16-year relationship. Leaving was a difficult decision, but it was necessary for both my well-being and my daughter’s. When we left, we had to start over from scratch, and my teenage daughter and I were homeless for a time. It was a painful, humbling experience that changed me deeply, teaching me resilience and shifting my perspective on life and self-care.
These experiences, along with my own battles with anxiety and depression, have shaped every aspect of Luna Selene. I’ve come to understand the importance of balance, the need for self-compassion, and the power of small, calming moments in a chaotic world. For me, creating Luna Selene is about so much more than aesthetics—it’s about healing, nurturing, and finding beauty in even the toughest moments.
Through Luna Selene, I hope to inspire others to find their own moments of peace, to cherish their inner strength, and to never lose sight of the importance of caring for both body and spirit. Every product, every design, every detail carries a piece of my journey, shared with the hope that it brings a sense of comfort, resilience, and self-love to everyone who connects with it.
Luna Selene is more than just a brand to me—it’s a reflection of my personal journey. It’s about embracing who you are, imperfections and all, and realising that true beauty starts from within. Through this brand, I hope to inspire others to find their own moments of peace, to cherish their inner light, and to never forget the importance of caring for both body and spirit.
